Memphis: Objects, Furniture, and Patterns
The Memphis Group was an Italian design and architecture movement of the 1980s, more specifically a group composed of Italian designers and architects who created a series of products in 1981. Named after the Bob Dylan song Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again, the movement was a reaction against the post-Bauhaus “black box” designs of the 1970s and had a sense of humor that was lacking at the time in design.

Attention blogosphere! Freshjive Mfg. Company (Freshjive, Warriors of Radness, GONZ!, Reserve) is seeking interns in their art department. Must be skilled in Adobe CS4, WordPress, and/or social media outlets such as Facebook & Twitter. Also seeking interns with photography and/or video editing skills. Must have reliable transportation and a laptop.

Screw is a weekly pornographic magazine aimed at heterosexual men and published in the United States. It was first published in 1968 by Al Goldstein as a response to a burgeoning sexual revolution and to the supposedly air-brushed soft-pedaled sexuality in magazines such as Playboy.
