Two Warriors Tee
A warrior is a person experienced in or capable of engaging in combat or warfare, especially within the context of a tribal or clan-based society that recognizes a separate warrior class. According to the Random House Dictionary, the term warrior has two meanings. The first literal use refers to “someone engaged or experienced in warfare.” The second figurative use refers to “a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness, as in politics or athletics.” Warriors Of Radness embodies this second, more figurative meaning. “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever.” A dark sentiment for sure, but if you are familiar with George Orwell’s seminal work then this comes as no surprise. This 2nd installation of Jazz Noir Impressions features a somewhat ethereal stack of obscure 78 RPM records. Strung together in one long presentation and played from a vintage 1940s RCA Victor phonograph, Joey Altruda creates a surreal sense of time travel back to the era if Film Noir. Great for late night/early morning listening.

Life is so Sweet Tee
Freshjive Spring tees have arrived at Reserve. The first of the shirts which will be profiled is the “Life is so Sweet.” The shirt’s imagery is both proactive and multi-layered with a number of cultural references on display.
