An excellent source of inspiration for designers and creatives alike, Milton Glaser’s Poster Book is a journey into one of designs greatest thinkers.

Excerpt from the book:
“Milton Glaser is a romantic visionary whose surrealistic is reminiscent of the monsters framing two famous Italian Villas, Villa Palagonia in Sicily and Bomarzo. His unusual juxtaposition of objects and surprising use of proportions are among the best sights in recent seasons. From a concrete block recenty warmed by the sun, grows a solitary poppy or listening ear amid the foliage of a tree. In such scenes, the dreams of Milton Glaser, along with the mysterious events he inserts into his pictures, lure us to stray through the landscapes of his euphoric imagination.”

A satirical glimpse into the future, The 90s: A Look Back, is a humorous forecasting of the decade to come. Published in 1989, editors Tony Hendra and Peter Elbling highlight the events and occurrences that would define the decade to come. After receiving critical acclaim for their first title The 80s, the duo came back 10 years later to do it again. With entertaining commentary from Bill Murray and Penn & Teller, The 90s: A Look Back is a laughable look forward to a decade that had yet to be.

In our third and final installment of digitizing the legendary punk publication NOMAG, we offer a glimpse into an issue dedicated to the passing of photographer Jules Bates, who was a large part of the magazine. Jules was killed in a motorcycle accident while either leaving or arriving to his photo studio at 4th and Normandie in Los Angeles on September 26th, 1982. This issue features lots of his photography, as well as an obituary written by Bruce Kalberg himself. The cover features Suzi Gardner (of L7) and Patrice Rapose, photographed by Bob Seidemann.
