Tito Puente Special.
The Mambo craze originated at NYC&#8217;s Palladium Ballroom in the 1940&#8217;s and lasted well into the 60&#8217;s. The big three bands that consistently headlined were Machito, Tito Rodriguez, and Tito Puente. On the new episode of Vinyl Meltdown, Joey Altruda focuses on the early years of the Tito Puente Orchestra spanning the early 1950’s thru the early 60&#8217;s, featuring 20 killer tracks in one continuous mega-mix.
