The New Illustration

With the mission of promoting art and illustration, along with its history and evolving nature, the Society Illustrators of New York celebrates creativity and innovation through the work of their contributing artists. Established in 1901, and consisting of nine artists and one businessman, the collective sought to bring illustration to the forefront of culture by holding exhibitions and sharing ideas. The New Illustration is a collection of colorful images from the ‘85 exhibition, providing an accurate and authentic view into the prevailing imagery of the time. $20, phone orders available.
