Graphic Designers In The USA/1
Obviously some heavy hitting names on the cover of this one—Herb Lubalin, Louis Danziger, Peter Max, Henry Wolf—so we’ll let that speak for itself. All in all, a great book documenting the work of design legends.
Excerpt from preface:
“The problems of the graphic designer are quite different than those facing the artist who deal essentially with the private image. The designer’s work is public and must appeal to the public; his commissions are largely specific; his function is to provide information, entertainment, and aesthetic pleasure.”
